Mike Cotton graduated from Birmingham Conservatoire, training in Piano, Drums & Percussion, and now works extensively as a freelance Musical Director, Pianist and Arranger. Most recently Mike performed as part of the orchestra for Evita (London Palladium).

Credits as Musical Director: Tina – The Tina Turner Musical (Aldwych, London), Shrek the Musical (Hammersmith Apollo). As Assistant Musical Director: Hairspray (London Coliseum), Book of Mormon (1st UK/European Tour), Tango Moderno (UK Tour), The Commitments (UK/Ireland Tour), Ghost (1st UK Tour). Workshops include: 13 Going On 30 (Musical Director).

In addition to his theatre work, Mike is an experienced arranger, orchestrator and copyist, with a background in keyboard programming. He is also Estill Voice Level 1&2 trained and continues to work in recording and music education, offering piano tuition and bespoke music production.
